Maria Roumpani, PhD

Senior Advisor

Maria is an Independent Consultant specializing in the economic and technical analysis of electrical grid dispatch and capacity planning. Her experience includes grid planning and decarbonization issues, including modeling fossil fuel retirement and the deployment of distributed energy resources.

Maria was previously a Strategen Technical Director. Prior to Strategen, Maria started her career as a researcher and mathematical modeler in the E3M-Lab at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, contributing to the development of large-scale energy planning models and analytical tools used in EU energy policy studies.

Maria holds a P.hD in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
